What size range do your patterns come in? All Harriet's patterns are multi-sized. The Ladies' patterns are sizes 6-16+. Ladies' Generous patterns include sizes 18-28 and measurement of bust sizes 42-60", waist 31"-50" and hips 51-69". Men's patterns are sizes 36-44+. Men's Generous patterns include sizes 46-60 and measurement of chest 46-60", waist 44-58" and neck 17.5-20". Children's patterns sizes vary from Toddler to Teen, and are individually marked on each pattern. See children's pattern pages for exact sizes.

Is Harriets.com a secured ordering site? We have secured ordering through PayPal. Any item where you see an Add to Cart icon can be ordered through this secure payment method. For those products that are one of a kind, have many size choices, or are special orders, you should use our Manual Order Form. This form will be sent through email, and is not secure. If you are concerned about placing a credit card order using our Manual Order Form, please use XXXX for the last 4 digits of your credit card number, and then send us an email with those digits. That will ensure security. You may also fax us at 203-730-2122 (24/7) to place your order if you prefer. Please include your email address and we will send you an order confirmation.

Why is Harriet selling all her rentals? After almost 40 years of business, Harriet has decided to join the ranks of the "semi-retired" and offer her inventory of wonderful costumes for sale. Patterns will continue to be offered for sale, but all other inventory MUST GO! So for the price of a rental, you can now own the historical reproduction of your choice.

How will you ship my order? Larger patterns and small retail items (i.e. gloves, parasols, fans, hoops, etc.) are generally shipped Priority Mail. Catalogs, magazines, and smaller patterns ship First Class mail. Historical reproductions (former rental inventory) are shipped via insured air freight (i.e. Fed Ex) and should be shipped to your daytime address for signature upon delivery (if you work during the day, it should be shipped there!)
